The Ancient Industrial Artifacts Museum of Coimbatore is an important tourist landmark of the city. Catch the Nanjundapuram road to head towards the beautiful museum, which displays artifacts from the Old as well as the New Stone Age. Also displayed in the museum are the stone tools of the bygone ages and the huge burial urns of the era. The museum exhibits antiquities obtained from excavations in Boluvampatti (stone beads and copper bangles), Vellalore, and Perur (Shell Bangles, Jewellery, and Coins). The stone inscription from Udumalpet is significant for its shedding light on the rules and regulations that were established by the king to be observed by the public.
